New reviews for Pagliarese Chianti Classico Riserva 2016 and Pagliarese Chianti Classico 2017, both awarded by James Suckling with a score of 93 pts:
Pagliarese Chianti Classico Riserva 2016: “A rich and structured red with black-cherry and plum aromas and flavors. Medium to full body. Chewy and polished tannins, Long and flavorful finish. Needs two or three years to soften.”
Pagliarese Chianti Classico 2017: “This shows beautiful transparency and represents a beautiful, neoclassical impression of sangiovese. Bright orange peel, citrus, fresh red cherries and dried herbs. A rather Burgundian palate follows, that’s more about tangy acidity and finegrained tannins than sheer power and muscularity. Edgy finish that’s especially impressive, given the vintage. Drink now.”
