Pagliarese is still remembered today as one of Chianti Classico’s most iconic producers, despite the fact that its history was interrupted in the early 1990s.
In 1995, exactly twenty years after acquiring the Pagliarese wine property, Giovanni Poggiali believed that the time was ripe to re-launch the Pagliarese label and to restore to its many aficionados a wine that was a universally-acknowledged symbol of Chianti Classico.

It entailed a long wait, but expectations were, in the end, not disappointed, thanks to successful efforts to bring the winecellar and vineyards up to the optimal standards required to bring back to life what was defined as “recovery of the old style.”
The 2015 vintage brought forth the first Pagliarese Chianti Classico of the new era, a wine fashioned to conjure up memories for those who were fortunate to be able to savour its greatness in the past and to tell the story of this renowned winery to new generations.
